Ready to buy a new home? Here’s our tips for a successful property search
April 29, 2017
There’s little to no point viewing a property with no idea of your budget, the type of home you’d like and where you want to live. So, with that being said, here are our top tips for a successful property search:

Work out your budget
You may have an idea of your budget, but it’s always best to speak to an independent mortgage adviser to be absolutely sure. Before beginning your property search, talk to Mortgage Solutions of Wakefield for professional, trustworthy advice.
Make a list of features you want your property to have – in order of priority!
Once you know your budget, decide what you want your new property to feature. This could be anything from a dining room large enough to feed a family of ten, to a certain amount of bedrooms, or an en-suite bathroom! You’ll undoubtedly need to compromise on something down the line, so list each feature in order of priority. Remember – when you purchase a property, you can usually add in features like jacuzzi baths, but you can’t move the house closer to the local school or park.
Take advantage of our mailing list
Property hunting can be time-consuming, and if you work full time, it’s likely most of your evenings will be spent searching for your dream abode. Join our mailing list by filling out your name and property requirements and let us do the searching for you.
