Spring: The perfect time to sell your home.
April 1, 2018
Spring is without a doubt the optimum time to put your property on the market, with the largest amounts of buyers actively searching for a new home between April, May, and June.

Many people chose to list their property in the spring, with the hope of completing during the summer. The kids are off from school and the weather is warmer (fingers crossed) which means less chance of your brand new sofa being rained on!
So without further ado, here are our tips to ensuring your home is ready to sell this spring:
First impressions count…
Your garden is the first things a potential buyer will see, and one of the most overlooked areas by sellers. Mow the lawn, introduce colourful plants and if possible, move garden furniture to the back garden. Ensure weeds are pulled up from driveways and fix that wobbly paving! If you have a few cars parked on the drive, consider asking a neighbour if you can park on their drive whilst you show viewers round to create the illusion of more outdoor space. No no-go zones…
Preventing viewers from accessing certain areas of the house is bound to set the alarm bells going in their head. If it’s clutter you’re hiding, consider renting storage space. It’s unrealistic to expect a buyer to commit to purchasing your home they haven’t seen every room.
Open windows and doors…
We don’t want you to open every single window in the house, but it’s a good idea to open a few an hour or so before potential buyers arrive to let some fresh air in, and any unpleasant smells out. Opening doors will make rooms appear bigger, and shows viewers you have nothing to hide.
