This weekend saw Simon Kendall complete his third marathon in 28 days for Wakefield Hospice, Claire Kendall take part in a charity walk with her family and our valuer Danny Grimshaw complete a bike ride from Liverpool to Leeds.
What a weekend!
First off on Saturday, Claire Kendall participated in a 21 mile walk to raise funds for Rosemere Cancer Foundation. The challenge started when Claire’s son Harry committed to the 21 mile walk along with his friends signed up to The Coniston to Barrow (C2B) walk event. A 21 mile walk through beautiful rolling hills and what perfect weather they had for the day. The whole family joined the walk and so far they have nearly raised £1000 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, which is just fantastic!

Also on Saturday, Danny started his journey by bike along with his two friends from Liverpool to Leeds to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support following the loss of his father earlier in the year. Again, the weather was kind to them and along with his friends they were also able to acquaint some of the local public houses along the way to quench their thirst. Finally, Danny and his friends arrived in Leeds Sunday teatime. They should be incredibly proud of themselves raising over £2000 for the charity.

Lastly, yesterday morning saw Simon Kendall complete his “3 marathons in 28 days” to raise funds for Wakefield Hospice. Having already completed Manchester Marathon and London Marathon in April, Simon ran his third marathon at Leeds yesterday with an impressive finish time of 3hours 20 minutes. Simon has raised a staggering £3400 for Wakefield Hospice.
