Meet Melanie our Branch Manager

Melanie worked for 10 years with Richard Kendall before being headhunted by another estate agent in the area. She returned in October 2010 and she told us ‘I’ll never leave again!’

Melanie lives in Sandal which is just a ten- minute drive on the motorway, and she loves working in Ossett. 

‘I like the varied role. Ossett is a small community and our client’s come in to see us after they have bought or sold their property. One client brings in cakes and buns! It’s a close-knit community with regular events taking place in the town such as the local gala which Richard Kendall gets involved with and sometimes sponsor’.

Shopping is good too, there’s a market every Tuesday and Friday.  Local businesses offer privileges for people holding the Ossett Loyalty Card, for example, Richard Kendall offer a free Energy Performance Certificate.

Ossett has everything on your doorstep, you can walk everywhere to the supermarket, local vegetable stalls and unique independent shops.

Schooling is exceptional. People move here because of the schools, commuters move here for motorway links to Wakefield, Leeds and Barnsley and people who live in Ossett stay in Ossett which speaks volumes for the location!

Ossett has a bustling town centre, it was market day when I visited and I left to the sound of a saxophonist playing in the square.
