Town Spotlight: Spend a weekend in Ossett.
May 4, 2018
The old industrial town, we know and love as Ossett has become more affluent in recent years. The town is now home to those taking advantage of the towns close links to the M1.

Here’s just a few of the events you can look forwards to in Ossett this year
Head into the heart of historic Ossett town and enjoy the Yorkshire Food and Craft Market.
This increasingly popular market is held on the last Saturday of every month from March through to October. The vibrant and colourful market offers an array of fresh local produce alongside handmade crafts and gifts. Save time to explore the time and treat yourself to tea and cake at one of the local cafes.
The market will take place on the 26th of May from 10am until 4 pm.
The annual Ossett Gala returns this year for the 28th year. The Gala is one of the largest events in the Ossett Calendar. Visit the Gala for entertainment and stalls featuring commercial, charity and community contributions – all entertainment is provided free of charge and council car parking if free of charge on the day.
The event is run by a non for profit community interest company, Building Ossett Better and all proceeds are reinvested into good causes in the town. Be sure to add the 28th of July into your calendar.
Returning for yet another year, the Tour de Ossett will be back on the 25th of August. The Tour De Ossett was launched in 2016 to encourage families to saddle up and complete a gentle 6km bike ride. Last year over 72 riders took part in the event, and many more are expected to take part this year.
Looking to relocate? Ossett could be the town for you.
